It has just filtered back to DH headquarters that we’ll be featured in a European magazine article highlighting the life and times of one @StanKuliavas, who sits as an adviser on our board, and helps to create connections in the Canadian air space. Good work Stan!

Just trying to get a little of that Byrne magic to rub off on me. Season ticket video I created while consuming copious amounts of Diet Mountain Dews during the wee hours. Sitting in the office like that always reminds me of hanging in the mess hall out in Vernonia, OR working on projects like The Runaway Diabetic… (a dirty bag?)

If you didn’t already know, we take our karaoke very seriously here at diabeteshappens. We’ve sang a diverse array of tunes in many cities across the US of A and met some bizarre characters along the way— always spreading the diabetic love. We’ve even been told that our performances are “songs of hope for diabetes.” That’s a fact.
Last night I sang “One Headlight” by The Wallflowers for the first time at a local NYC joint, and I thought you’d all be happy to know that it went pretty well.
We’ll be posting more about our karaoke adventures under the heading “Karaoke Happens.” But in the meantime, what is your favorite karaoke go-to jam or hilarious story? Holler at us.
Yours in song,
TB
I’ve recently read that the new planking is stocking. What is that you ask? Well, here’s what I found: “stocking is the act of recreating a photo from a stock photo site.” bit.ly/mTDNYW DH is going to put on a contest to see who can recreate the best diabetes related stock photo.
Stock away my non-functioning pancreatic friends.
